This is exactly right, and I wish more people discussed it this way. I will say the final covid bill which Byron is referencing (American Rescue Plan) was unnecessarily bloated but I get the 2nd Republican led relief bill left out a lot of things the Democrats wanted so when they got the opportunity they took it.

The frustrating/ironic part is that people like Byron only refer to the name of the Act.

American Rescue Plan = Stimulus Checks (and other stuff)

He's basically saying that the stimulus checks everyone spent shouldn't have happened and we shouldn't have gotten stimulus checks. Feels mighty Republican denying direct payments to the people after a pandemic.

Also, how does he explain the entire globe going through inflation post-pandemic and not just Americans who got stimulus checks
