:pachaha:

Could this be the beginning of it all tumbling down, brehs? She’s a cutie too. I may have an opening in my personal administration that she can hop on.
:youngsabo:

You may want to look at other candidates. I have a far bigger opportunity for her. :steviej:

Because the DNC's made the call breh :beli: they told joe to pick Copmala thinking she'd be Obama 2.0 but it backfired on them...:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

And yes Stacy would have been a great choice but when we heard Copmala's name we ALL was like:dwillhuh::scusthov::wtf:

exactly

Joe wasn’t calling the shots and is just happy that they got Bernie and Hillary out of the paint for good (even tho Hillary bodied herself).

Obama was a one shot deal so trying to get the Kamala remix was like trying to be Reggie Miller at the Garden against the Knicks with 18 seconds left. She just ain’t it but they “needed” the black vote. turns out that her abilities are limited to doing the Electric Slide on the campaign trail while she feels like she has more to offer.

I think Stacy would have been worse. She has never held a statewide position. Her only political experience is serving as a representative in maybe 2 counties (3 at most).

Kamala is doing terrible, but I think Stacy would have done just as badly.

It personally wanted Val Demmings (if it had to be a black woman).

But truth of the matter was, Biden shouldn't have let himself get pigeonholed into picking a Black woman.

I feel he should have been free to pick a VP, woman or man, black or white.

He wouldn't be dealing with any of this if he had chosen another white man, truth be told. At least 50% of Kamala's hate has to do with the fact that she's a woman. Any female VP would have received hate for that alone.

She was the minority leader for House of Reps in Georgia for 6 years. She has been instrumental in the local organizing that helped the dems win Georgia and to get the razor thin majority they have in the senate right now. She is much better at motivating/organizing the voter base and more agile in interviews particularly when posed with tough questions unlike Kamala Harris. She was absolutely a better choice but as stated earlier Kamala was viewed as the female version of Obama (the palatable qualities that is).

While I think Kamala Harris does get some hate because she is a woman I think it's overstated and it has more to do with her character and track record. She's flip-flopped on issues all throughout her presidential bid with very little coherent policy ideas. IMO she's just a very career driven person who doesn't really give a damn about that actual job of being a public servant just about how much further can she advance which is common among politicians.

Minority leader for the state house of representatives doesn't equate into being a VP bro.

Neither does local organizing or even motivating the voter base in this case cause all black voters wanted was a black woman, it didn't matter which one.

With that being said, Kamala should be much better at her job than she is because she is way more qualified and has way more experience than Stacey.

But I won't totally fault her as there's a huge burden to being the first female vp and on top of that the first black female vp. Some ppl falter under the lights.

I think she faltered early on but feels she can make up for it now if given a chance.

That's what it seems like at least. With that being said, I can understand why Joe and Co don't want to risk it because they can't afford to be putting out her potential fires when they already got the equivalent of a million California forest fires raging simultaneously across the country right now.

Which is why I said this wasn't really the time for a black female vp. Do that when the nation is in prosperity and at peace, not when the country is already tearing itself apart because of white ppls fear of being "replaced".

That's another reason why Kamala has to be limited. I bet you there are a lot of places they can't even send her to. You cant send her to Klan country in the Midwest. She's extremely limited not due to any failings of her own but due to the racism of these wicked devils.

I blame black ppl for this, black ppl who were going crazy last year demanding a black woman as VP. Joe should have ignored them and did thr right thing and either picked a white woman or white man or even a black woman if there was one that was qualified and unique for the situation. But to just pick a black woman to have a black woman? Because niccas demanded it?

Id have told them to go to hell and picked whoever i wanted to pick. And if they didn't wanna vote and let Trump stay in office, then to hell with them anyway

I enjoy the back and forths with you, btw. Because I consider you to be a reasonable poster.

As a reasonable man, I'd like your take on this.
Kamala was a polarizing figure as a candidate for the Dem. nomination. She's not the first or last candidate to draw such strong reactions, for & against. She was polarizing as part of the ticket, again that's nothing new in politics.

Once people become Vice President, they essentially fade into oblivion. Rarely seen or heard.
As a result, feelings about them subside because the nature of the office.
Kamala remains a polarizing figure, though. I think this is along the lines of what puzzled the Aussie member, and prompted him to ask the question.

My take is that it's residual resentment.
How would you explain past critics/detractors of Kamala still caring about the Vice President today, one year past the election ?

That's an easy answer. Ratings and content.

The media and people on this site need a new villain for content since Trump out of office and COVID-19 is subsiding. Harris perfectly foots the bill as there's always some controversy surrounding her. I can believe that the media is doing all of this on their own volition as I highly doubt that Biden's camp want this information about her leaked as it makes them look bad like she should have never been the VP pick in the first place. As I've said, I don't think they wanted to pick her and only did so when the Klobuchar option fell through.

I would be willing to give her the benefit of a doubt about this particular story if we didn't hear these exact same scenario during the primaries.

She probably was bored as hell with nothing to do.

They sent Kamala to Nagaland on a diplomatic mission for the next 3 years until this whole presidency thing blows over.

So suddenly, losing administrators is a sign of failure? So how many directors of EVERYTHING did the entire Trump administration go through? Let's do a comparison. :sas1:

This is a disingenuous statement considering the fact that we all cracked jokes everytime someone stepped down during the Trump administration.
