This sounds like pure :duck: to me. There wasn't so much as a hint towards Doom until after the Majors situation blew up. They were probably trying to see if they could get RDJ in an alternate timeline Iron Man role or something.
I agree. they just randomly announced their next big villain, not on film, just in some interview? :dead:

“For years, we’ve always had the inkling that Kang would be an amazing follow-up to Thanos,” Feige told Entertainment Weekly. “He’s got that equal stature in the comics, but he’s a completely different villain. Mainly, that’s because he’s multiple villains. He’s so unique from Thanos, which we really liked.”

“He’s brutal,” Feige tells the online movie magazine Empire. “It’s been fun to work with Disney+ and see the boundaries shifting on what we’re able to do. There are moments [in the series] when Moon Knight is wailing on another character, and it is loud and brutal, and the knee-jerk reaction is, ‘We’re gonna pull back on this, right?’ No. We’re not pulling back. There’s a tonal shift. This is a different thing. This is Moon Knight.”

Not gonna lie I’ve never seen anything from Marvel that has Kang in it. I think he was just in Antman and Loki and I’ve seen neither. I don’t mourn his loss.

Kang was alway supposed to Jobber for Doom… maybe superior Iron man. Kang was the stand in for the beyonder in secret wars. Idk what the fukk Disney is trying to do at this point and from the shyt they been doing I don’t think they do either. They went from BP and Doctor strange are going to lead the next phase, to celestials, to Kang, and now RDJ Doom.

It could all be leading to a hard reboot and multiple recasts but they also have been complacent, boring, and repetitive since endgame. Have they even done a single sequel for any of their charters/IP’s that came out after endgame?

They also flubbed the TV series by making too many of them and not sticking to a side of marvel.
