Anybody with some sense could've told you this, the private sector is constantly making headlines for laying off thousands of workers, they don't have these positions available waiting for someone to come and apply, smh.... and now you introduce thousands upon thousands of laid off workers and tell them "just go apply in the private sector." This sh*t is a catastrophe waiting to happen.

Not to mention, you lay off someone with 10+ years of experience in Federal Govt. making 80K, and go tell them to find that same job in the private sector, and now all they can find is 40K jobs.

I'm sure this is a great chess move by our geniuses in the white house which we all haven't figured out yet.

Amazing.

all this is augmented by this was done with no process.

no over sight.

no evaluation of positive and negative impacts of such moves.

This is why this unilateral move is so moronic.

Its one thing to fire people

Its another to fire people with no plan on shoring up any weaknesses that would emerge from such a move

Trump wants to do everything to save money except cut fundings going to corporate interests, bailouts etc
Rather fired half the federal workers in the nation that raise taxes on the wealthy.

He could have done all of this in secret by looking like a competent business owner.

He doesnt even look like someone who could run a lemonade stand

Again all the senators and whatever from that state whoever are republican better get voted out. Like somebody has to pay since Trump is in til 2028. Like you’re literally worse off now than when Biden/Harris was in. You don’t want to have a time where nobody has hope but we are pretty much here now :francis:

Would even matter if he was a competant business owner. The country is not a business.

Doing the most profitable thing at the expense of customers or employee is a business move.
Doing the most profitable thing at the expense of the taxpayers of the country is poor leadership. What good is a profitable country if everybody living in it suffers as a result?

I've started looking around and I might even consider going back to my old job. I literally left only for the *stability* of a federal job. I got an email after a lot of the others saying my position was exempted from the come to office one because my job is essential, but none of them are exempt from cutbacks.
