Someone correct if I'm wrong, but the state's contention is that since the baby was born by a procedure which was not performed by a licensed doctor, then all legal pacts made between the mother and the biological farther are void, and the biological father retains all parental rights AND responsibilities???
Ignoring the absurdity of connecting the licensing of the doctor to the merit of the legal agreement for a second, doesn't this open a potential, terrible, loophole for sperm banks. I mean, say a sperm bank gets broken into by a shady, unlicensed, doctor who does procedures for the low. If one of these broads who makes the terrible decision of going to this doctor falls on hard times, she could legally pursue child support from some unsuspecting individual years later?
Does the state of Kansas realize how ridiculous that is?
What if it wasn't artificial and he actually fukked one of those broads, yet signed a legal document waiving his parental rights and responsibilities....would Kansas throw that legal document out the window as well?
