Koonye does it again :snoop:

On his celebrity rant during his wedding speech:

"What I talked about in it was the idea of celebrity, and celebrities being treated like blacks were in the '60s, having no rights, and the fact that people can slander your name. I said that in the toast. And I had to say this in a position where I, from the art world, am marrying Kim. And how we're going to fight to raise the respect level for celebrities so that my daughter can live a more normal life. She didn't choose to be a celebrity. But she is. So I'm going to fight to make sure she has a better life.

Ya know...

Perspective is one thing. There's no accounting for one's personal experiences and really no frame of reference which is why this sounds outrageous to us.

Having said that, come the fucc on, Kanye. :aicmon: Could this dude be any more out of touch with reality?

Stop giving him attention for these comments. He's obviously attention whoring with hyperbole again. He doesn't actually believe that.

Its not an extreme comparison. It's an invalid comparison.
People choose to be celebrities. People do not choose to be black and discriminated against.
Having the paparazzi shove their camera in your face is not the same as having a police dog attack you for marching for your rights.
Kanye could simply just move to Oregon or some other place instead of Hollywood, where the paparazzi is nonexistent, but he thinks too highly of himself to do that.
