so I guess I'm the only one that completely bypassed the whole outfit (I don't make a habit of checking out how nikkas dress) but I lol'ed at him reading what looked like a memo or note remembering that he refuses to own a cell phone.

Cosign - except for one thing, in reality 'nikka' was never really co-opted. That's a myth, black people historically have called each other 'nikka' because they were indoctrinated to do so during slavery times, and the mind fukk is that deep. For a long time in the history of the american black using the word was considered super low class. It was common amongst drug dealers, whores, junkies etc but was not something you said in polite company, it was an insult. And although plenty of low class blacks used it, it was still used in an insulting brainwashed crabs in a barrel way, its not that the word was conquered its that the mental enslavement was so deep folks still used it to berate each other. similar to the way friends call each other 'a$$hole' or 'mothafukker', those words arent coopted by friendship, they are insults that you can use to berate your friends commonly used but the words retain their insulting meaning. And keeping it 100% real with you, although blacks called each other nikka in this fashion, only the most ignorant called each other 'nikka' in front of white people.

When rap blew up is when this talk of 'co-opting' came about, but it wasn't true then, it was never co-opted, it was just some ignorant keep it in the closet vulgarity that gangsta rappers projecting the ghetto black image and exposing it to white america used. Now rappers have made it so common that they even play it on the radio and white dudes dap each other up with 'whats up my nikka'... and real racists who couldnt use the word in polite company in the 80s now say it and go 'well the blacks use it themselves' and somewhere the willie lynches of the past nod their head and say see this mental enslavement thing can last 200 years after the physical...

So this talk about co-opting this flag, is poor comedy to me... the south shall rise again!

risen at the hands of rich euro trash coveting noveau riche blacks trying so hard to be provocative...

Really good post.

A lot of people don't understand the word and have it has evolved in the black community.

no...its a word/flag. If someone isnt touching you, how does what they do really change your day? especially if you dont know their motives behind what they say/do? Thats you assuming, and caring too much about people.
You are a fukking idiot that's ignorant of history. Go read a book and learn American history moron. Perhaps you'd understand why some may find the flag offensive.
