People gotta look at it like this... You're talking about a dude who grew up in Chicago, but was all about the pink polos and backpacks. Keep in mind that this is ALSO the same era when Shady/Aftermath/G-Unit was dominating everything, and 50 had blown up not even a year prior to that. So that should put things into perspective. Nobody was trying to hear him rap at the time, not even Jay. No one was trying to hear a Kanye West verse in 2000-2003. But they'd hop on his beats with no problem though.

So if you had the whole world sleeping on you, but you knew exactly how great you really were... how else would you act? :usure:

The only reason why Kanye is where he is, is due to him working extremely hard and the fact that he believed in himself so much, the world had no choice to believe in him too. And look where he is now. Damn near a prophecy over a decade later.
