I cancelled him after Yeezus.
That's when I should've too. I think he still had a lot of good will with me and a lot of black people at the time. But after Yeezus it became clear he didn't want to be associated with us any more and as time has gone by it's become more obvious that not only does he not want to be associated with black people, but he actually resents us because deep down he can't be who he really wants to be: A white man. He actually is what people stupidly accused Michael Jackson of being(a black man who threw away his blackness and wanted to be in the white world)

Great reminder OP thank you.

When he uttered that phrase I was done with him. The first and last time I've genuinely felt betrayed by an artist, to this day it's fukk this c00n forever.

And it really opened my eyes on what a concerning amount of black people are willing to tolerate. Let them enjoy their yeezy.

I feel like this is when people stopped fukking with Ye musically.

When he did the Yeezus merch with the confederate flag...
:francis:
Plus the industrial cac influence on Yeezus with the aesthetics.
It was not a black album.

This was around the time kanye started to become an avatar for hypebeasts and alt hipster cacs.

He had a song called Black Skinhead :francis:

Also I hated that Strange Fruit flip on Blood on the Leaves. Why that song? Maybe I'll let it slide if he spits some real shyt. Man was crying over a thot :francis:

Honestly tho we have people saying why didn’t these companies cancel him when he said all this stuff about black people. Because they know you/we (just meaning a lot of black people) still gonna buy the shyt and not call for him to get dropped from this or that. Just like they we still buy music from these c00n ass rappers and wonder why others don’t feel outraged for us or want those rappers cancelled. Why would someone else feel offended for us when someone says kill a nikka cut a nikka sell a nikka drugs if we dancing to the shyt our damn selves. If Other communities don’t put up with that type of self disrespect, we need to do the same. That’s how our people used to be. But man we are so lost and disorganized now. Jews got into the entertainment industry when they got into the country and of course banking, so yes they have a lot of power in it. It’s not a conspiracy that they control it. It was the businesses they were allowed to participate in here back then. So if they feel they are disrespected and respond differently then they have every right. I ain’t defending them at all. I don’t give a fukk about they feelings honestly. But a lot of us just don’t be taking shyt seriously and expect people to be offended for us when we don’t react how we supposed to. This is how it is when you don’t have power or demand change. At some point we have to be have self accountability. Yeah we know how we got here.. but what the fukk are we gonna do about it.. and acknowledge we are much more disorganized than our grandparents generation.

This whole thing actually proves our power more than the jews. Notice whenever they want to cancel black people, they usually get the greenlight from black people first. When they wanna bury a black icon like Cosby or r Kelly, they make sure we give the go ahead to bury them by any means neccessary.

Or the other perspective could be when they wanna cancel or bury black people. They use other black people like chess pieces for the sake of optics.

This is why I avoid being apart of a organized lynchmob against another black man. This is what I was telling yall with Will smith. If they wanna cancel Will let them do it on their own. Its like the scene in Training Day

"You gotta put in your own work around here"

Before you join an organized mob, better find out who organized the mob first. Wash your hands of Kanye, dont get your hands dirty on their behalf:respect:

When people were discussing Donda like ain't shyt happened had me:francis:

I been cancelled that goofy. It's his fault fukking with people who don't fukk around and sadly too many black people tolerate anti-blackness.
I remember people were going nuts over Jesus Is King and I was just sitting there like :snoop:

the internet
from one of the other 20 Kanye threads:

OP is 100% on the money
everyone that has sat through the entire Drink Champs interview see's whats going on

of course black celebs arent going to back him...
...black dysfunction is their bread and butter
and guess who their bosses are?

Even when Kanye said "Slavery is a choice"...
...if you go back and check out the entire TMZ session youll see his point was similar to the "field nikka vs house nikka" convo

Kanye was saying he would basically die before being a slave...
...an extreme take on someone saying they would never be a "house nikka"

Dude obviously has a vision for his companies and doesnt care about public opinion in the short term to see out his vision...
...this whole media run was to get off of Adidas

He first tried it with the 30min YT video of him going at Adidas
it didnt work

then he came out with the White Lives Matter shirt...
...got a lot of attention but it didnt work

then he dropped the Death Con Jew Tweet...
...mission accomplished
black folks quick to cancel the wrong shyt
we been trained to take pride in bullshyt

A lot of us bushed him after that. Hell, I made the Life of Pablo album thread and even then I was hardly rocking with him as the antics were starting to pile up. But by the time Nasir came out, I was half mad Nas dignified him with bars. Now? Can't catch me dead in some Yeezys. Can't tell me nothing Koonye.
