Cliffnotes.

On Race/Racism

  • People who don’t understand him, don’t understand themselves.
  • Blacks (especially in america) have been raised with a slave mentality. Some don’t feel that they have the right to speak as loud as possible.
  • If you’re black and attending the Metball or Grammy's, you’ve got to have 10 times more success than everyone else there.
  • People who don’t like his designs, or sneakers are racists or discriminating.
  • Thinks it’s racist when white people assume, that when a black person uses color it’s a political statement.
  • To be truly honored as a black person in a classist society-- living in the final house in the suburban community with the white picket fence and to be looked at as an equal is a lot of mixed kids away.
  • The world is mixing. In 1000 years the world will be completely mixed.
  • There will be a new race, except for the main people whose main goal and focus is to keep the purity and separatism.
  • He see’s the future as humans being mixed.
  • Thinks other races are really attracted to each other and always have been because we’re meant to.
  • Was told to never bring a white girl home when he was 8 years old. and he liked white girls
  • He liked black girls too, but he also liked white girls but it was a taboo.
  • Has first hand experience from his single days, that white women do love black guys and there's something amazing about mixing the cultures,
  • if a girls say’s she’s German, Asian, or Portuguese you automatically picture someone beautiful and naming different races together paints a beautiful picture.
  • He's not telling people who to sleep with, he’s just zoning on what he feels.
  • it’s not raps responsibility to uplift black women. rap is only responsible to trends. so the only way that would be heard more is if it was "in style" because rap is a communication of trend and how people are in real life.
  • There was a time where we had afrocentric rap, and it was more common to say “my queen” and now you haven’t heard the word “queen” so long in that context.
  • if you put racism in the battery of your phone, it would never stop working.
  • black people don’t like black people sometimes.
  • embraces racism instead of pinpointing, because it’s here.
  • if he see's that a black dude is good with money, he’s probably half jewish. and it should be taken as a compliment. he’s not anti semantic. he say’s that because he loves jews, and his cousin is Jewish.
  • It’s a culture that shares information with each other, and that doesn’t happen in the black community.
  • Sharing information is vital. it doesn’t happen in the black community , it may happen for your family ( your son, maybe) but not as a whole.
  • racism, slave mentality, !!!!! mentality, show off mentality, i’m gonna fukk your bytch mentality is what makes a culture that has the highest physical attributes going for it, the weakest.
  • This statement sounds kind of gay, but “I Love Older White Men”
  • if you’re not an older white man, then you don’t run shyt.
  • There’s always gonna be a lot more of a fight if you're not an older white man. so that's why he likes to speak on behalf of people without a voice (a creative, a woman, a transexual.)

On Politics

  • He’s definitely running for president.
  • Talked about it prior to the announcement with his team, and decided to announce it on MTV.
  • Don’t want to make comments or give opinions on what Obama has done. Thinks he’s done a lot of great things and thinks there would be no chance of people even considering the concept of him running if Obama hadn’t won.
  • Will sit with engineers to come up with solutions and alternatives for people without opportunity.
  • He collaborates and empowers people, and that will be his problem solving solution as opposed to the normal political way.
  • He's not a feminist, he's a humanist.
  • the pope is a dope motherfukker pushing towards the future

His Family

  • Becoming a father, has changed him for the better. 3 years ago, he would have jetted to paris to catch the last fashion shows for inspiration, and now he flies back home to his biggest inspiration which is his daughter.
  • Doesn’t have a name for his son yet, but he hopes that he can feel purpose in life, and that he has opportunities
  • His family will become the human race and having a hamily has made him re-think the way he raps

  • He and his wife have The highest level of communication that has ever happened in human existence.
  • Kim is like MTV and NBC, all combined. #1 followed on Instagram, plus her family. then him and his entire music family. there's no ad in any magazine that could add up to them.

  • Kim sent in a question and asked, “I can’t think of anything profound that i don’t already know about you, here’s a very simple question that i don’t know. What would your last meal be". He replied that Her home cooked fried chicken would be his last meal.
  • Says fukk what people think, and feels proud to be in a family that has so many people breaking ground for the generations to come.
  • reality shows is a new art form and his wife and her family should have multiple Emmy's for having the longest run.
  • talking to Kim has always helped him through anxiety or depression.

Fashion

  • The highest art form today, is fashion.
  • With the help of Anna Wintour, He has received more positive press on his fashion line.
  • He will be Regarded as one of the greats in fashion, just as he is in music because he’s comparable to Michelangelo.
  • Never experiences self doubt
  • He can’t control the prices of his fashion pieces, because he’s not H&M with a big factory behind him.
  • Not concerned about bringing anything to fashion, he just wants to be 5 years old. where he loved clothing before he knew anything about the politics of the fashion world.
  • The fashion world accepted Kim because they realized they could capitalize off of her. it’s better now than it was, and he’s happy about that.
  • Felt that he got discriminated in fashion for not being gay, whereas people in music get discriminated against for being gay.

Music

  • He thinks Yeezus and 808’s are both stronger albums than My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, calls MBDTF an apologetic album.
  • Ask any musician of the past 15 years who’s the Michaelangelo of music they would say him.
  • Black radio shows, maybe black culture is generally homophobic and thought black radio hosts would judge him for having a transgender in his family.
  • He made album covers important again.
  • Not sure if he will keep the name swish for his next album
  • Only did cruel summer to get a budget from def jam for his surround screen film.
  • Music doesn’t excite him as much anymore because he has nothing else to prove.
  • People consider Andre 3000 in their top 5 but he only does one verse, while he does 3 and writing is a big responsibility
  • The majority of the things that are popular now, are directly based on something he has done in the last 10 years.
  • He was heavily influenced by Radiohead, James Brown, Coldplay, J Dilla, Jay Z, Tribe, Pharycyde, Dr. Dre, Quincy Jones, Teddy Riley. all of their influence was in his work.
