
I remember when this first dropped, I was thinking it was gonna make a lot of folks uncomfortable. There was already stigma amongst rappers talking about religion or phrasing Jesus(especially in the culture full of a lot of 5%ers) It was also a ballsy record considering everything at the time had to be either club oriented, super flossy, or extra gangsta. It was also a challenge to the establishment:
"That mean Guns, Sex, Lies, video tape, But if I talk about God, My Record won't get played?"
