point systems have a place in competitive combat sports, but should only be used to determine winner when they fail to get a stoppage of their opponent.
Dqing people for stopping someone seems counter intuitive to it having any practical use outside of that tournment.
I guess thats why they call it "sport" karate. it's not meant to be combat, but a game.
