It's a stupid drug to do all the time. That's why you only see it a festivals (first time I saw nitrous balloons passed out was at a hippie festival I went to with friends 20 years ago when I started college...and they were charging $5 a baloon) and in lowlevel situations like when people are hanging out doing a plethora of other drugs.

I knew a white girl in highschool who did whippits too damn much. She was spacey all the time, shyt used to be funny.
