Yeezus didn't come out 2 weeks before?
Cause a lot of the comments I've seen about the album have some sort of comparison to Yeezus as if posters:
a) are just relieved that MCHG sounds more like a typical Jay-Z/hip hop album as Yeezus went so far left. Or
b) loved that Kanye went so far left and MCHG is disappointing in that it doesn't create the "new rules" as promised in the youtube promos, etc.
It looks like a lot of posters opinions on it are influenced by how they feel about Kanye's album. How about how this album compares to YOUR expectations of what hip hop/music should be?
