Its like the GOAT social media site and I honestly see it coming close to rivaling Google at some point based on its ability to be a sheer content aggregator but in the social sense.

Well, business wise possibly....as for it being a social medium it's eventually going to come to an end. From the social standpoint, if you were around Twitter in 09 you can see the declining difference in it now.

Im waiting on what's next tbh. A part of me thinks message boards in some form will be the new wave. Probably not using this current vbulletin/xenforo structure
its definitely took a hit since 09-2010 and is just a step above tumblr
but as far as 20-30 year olds id say its just as active as facebook. What puts facebook over Twitter is facebook still has that 50+ year old demograph, where you dont see too much of that on Twitter.
Instagram is still king for now, but theyve added so many rules this past year and continue to add so many rules (can only follow so many people a hour, can only like so many pictures a hour, can only comment so many times a hour) that eventually some new thing will pop up and takes its place.
These corporations will learn eventually no one likes all that restriction shyt.
Facebook fell off heavy when they started fukking with pages/privacy settings/doing too much.
Twitter fell off when they started adding restrictions to how many people you can follow until people follow you back, etc.
These sites pretty much look at any new account that does any activity so many times in a day as spam and will ban them fairly quick..
I mean the basis of these sites is the complete OPPOSITE of what they were when they first started and thats why ALL 3 have fell off especially Facebook probably has took the biggest hit.
on Facebook if you add so many people you dont know, you'll get your account locked But isnt that the point of Facebook is to add people and socialize on Instagram if you like/comment so many pictures in a hour you'll get a temp ban for 2 hours then if you do it again right after you'll get your account banned Wasnt that the whole point of instagram, to like and comment on pictures? Social media was on the right pace when it was more user governed.. What I mean by that is if you feel someone spamming you, you block them and move on. But when they start implementing set rules to govern users, thats when these sites fall off and rightfully so
