i dont think she ever asked for immunity. my understanding of how it goes sometimes in criminal practice is what the witness really wants is to not talk/snitch so they plead the 5th, thinking it will be over. but the DAs move is to give them immunity so what they say "can no longer be used against" them so now the judge rules that the witness no longer has the right to plead the 5th and they have to answer the questions.

the way she was answering questions it seems like she just didn't want to be involved in blaming anyone. she was flip flopping like a fish. she didn't even really help the prosecution despite immunity until they had to dig up her texts and recorded statement.

I’m not familiar with that law but I heard something similar also. I imagine she panicked when asked certain stuff. Maybe that’s for the other immunity, hers was transactional which only refers to this particular testimony. Technically she can still be charged.

Edit: she got use immunity. Transactional immunity is the one that allows you to testify that you did the crime and not be charged. That’s why she plead the 5th.
