From the clan members mouths, they were just giving throwaway verses and such

I'd rather hear what RZA has locked in the vaults such as the 1995 session w/ Nas where he spit a verse over investigative reports, before getting on verbal intercourse

That sounds like sour grapes talk from them.

Cilvaringz is a certified clown but he's gotten good/great verses out of most of Wu over the years. On official releases. So for them to be like "no big deal, we gave him left overs" is :comeon:

Especially when we heard snippets of this before it became the $2 million album. And it sounded dope.

If the album would have been released like a normal Wu-Tang album I’m pretty sure nobody would be talking about it anymore already :manny:

Heres the thing with ringz

Raekwon did the weeping tiger joint for ringz and then wanted it on 8diagrams as it woulda been the hottest rza beat and rae verse on whole album. I assume they woulda made it a real song.

Ringz said no. He wanted it for his album. That was his first mistake. Tryna make himself look good instead of the clan. This to me annoys me cause 8d is like a 5 song swing from being a classic wu album and the joints cut from it woulda took it over the top imo.

Second. He does get good shyt out them. But he asked them for verses as if they were for a ringz album. They prolly charged like a G or 2-3 for each verse. If it were a real wu album they woulda got 100gz each instead of the 5 or 10 they got. Thats why they mad.

Ringz showed pieces of the whole album to wu corp as it was being made. We even picked beats by voting. I had a ghostface/shabazz snippet over 2 diff beats that we voted on. He worked the entire forum into an excitement for the wu/killa bees reunion album and then left us in the cold.

He deserves to catch some flak for all of it. Rza made the most of it, he got the biggest check. The guys were paid but only like 5%-10% of what they woulda been paid for a wu album.

I honestly doubt theres throwaways on the album. All ringz work with the clan is high caliber imo. Guerilla Hood. Weeping tiger. In the name of allah. Silver ringz. A lil story. They all top wu joints of their respective eras. He just started looking out for himself instead of the clan and i dont think they appreciate that after looking him out for years. Ringz became a member by standing out in the studio for a week in the cold. Rzas mom felt bad for him and told them to let him in since he came all the way from europe. Hes a decent guy but I think this should have all gone differently. If we end up hearing the album, then its all for naught. The fact we havent still just makes the whole thing fukked up for wu fans.

You can find like 20 min of the album online. I prolly got 2-3 snippets joints on my old old pc when he was deciding which songs get which beats. I know islord sent a verse we all judged as wack. And the ghostface/shabazz joint over 2 diff instrumentals. So the album was kinda put tigether by wu fans themselves. Which makes what happened even bigger issue.

In the end. Ringz was right. The press was major. They got stories into every major media spot for years off this album. Was 1 million in press alone. Its a difficult situation to judge. But i imagine if someone did this to me id be pissed. He basically had this in the bag all along if nothing worked out. It worked tho. I respect his work tho. He has some gems in the wu mythos.

Its just a shame theres a DOUBLE album featuring the CLASSIC wu lineup featuring the og killabeez like shabazz and priest and killah sin etc… over classic wu sound.. that we will NEVER hear. It did sound like wu forever sound and thats what this described which makes it even more infuriating.

Bugz......I haven't been able to access my account on WuCorp for years. Do you have the Bring Da Ruckus instrumental that was on the msgboard? If so would you be able to email it to me? promoguy1@gmail.com
Thanks in advance....

To echo hex's "sour grapes" comment and build on Bugz's post, the verses recorded were focused, deliberate, directed and, in some cases, retaken to fit the themes and vibes Cilva was going for on specific tracks. While I still understand and tried to forewarn all involved about the Clan's reaction to this Cilva compilation becoming a full Wu-Tang album, understand that every step of the way it was made to the highest standards and the majority of the backlash came from those feeling they had input in the album's creation being left out of experiencing the final product. While never hearing it, given past and future projects I've heard, I have no doubt Cilva created & curated a high quality Wu project w OUATIS.
