Never heard of him, but I heard he was a crook (Peter Liang case). However, I'm not gonna be cold to celebrate his death because he has kids and a wife at home. RIP even though he made some stupid decisions :snoop:

At first I didn't really care for the guy either as my first time hearing about him was via the Liang case but after looking at all the things he's done to free black men and the work he's done for blacks in that area I would say at the very least we shouldn't be celebrating his death. We can definitely be upset with the Liang case but I don't think it outweighs the good he did for blacks in the judicial system. :rip: breh.
breh, most of the people on this forum, and internet, do the same shyt that they shyt on the Alt-Right for doing, including listening to their version of Limbaugh in Tariq Nasheed.

His death was a sad day for the wrongly convicted in Brooklyn.

It really doesn't matter how good he's done.
you're an idiot.

He took the money and got a bad cop who took a innocent man's life off scotch free.
while i do not agree with not pushing for jail time, Liang is a convicted felon and will never be a police officer again.

This man set forth a new precedence in prosecuting race soldiers. Now prosecutors from all around the country will follow suit. When you see convicted cops receives no jail time across the country, you can thank Ken Thompson

It really doesn't matter how good he's done. He took the money and got a bad cop who took a innocent man's life off scotch free. Akai Gurley was someone's son, father, brother. And thanks to him his killer will not see a day in jail. Thus, he's not a man of integrity and justice. He's a man of greed. He made it so much harder to see the murderers of Laquan McDonald and Walter Scott actually sentenced for their crimes. Nah, this man deserves no sympathy.

As I said it's fine if you don't have any sympathy for his death but I don't think we should be celebrating it given that while what he did in the Liang case was wrong I don't think it outweighs the good he's done. As far as setting a precedent while I think in some regard it did but for the most part the precedent you stated has been set long ago, if it hadn't then we wouldn't be discussing all of the other cases such as Michael Brown, Tamir Rice etc, sadly this was just another notch on the board.

Yes at times we get like that on the coli but I think it's a stretch to compare Tariq with Rush. The internet is home of the extremes and that fact is made evident almost every time you have a discussion on any given subject. I do think that Tariq does not leave much room for his followers to think for themselves given how he humiliates those people whom he has a differing opinion.

I feel what you saying, but you have to remember that its all about angry men. Angry misguided white men and angry misguided black men with the Tariq Nasheed acolytes.

The big difference between the two is that Nasheed dont have the influential followers like Limbaugh had when he started his shtick in the late 80s.
