I haven't heard the new T.I. album so I just got around to hearing this song on the radio the other day and man, Kendrick did his thing on it. He's got the best verse on the whole damn song! :whoo::wow:

The beat and the chick singing is nice too. :win:

yeah he had the best verse.

His ability to seamlessly transition between different rhythmic levels, from quadruplets, to quintuplets, to sextuplets, to double-quadruplets, is on a level I have never seen before. I’ve seen these rhythms before, most predominantly in Busta Rhymes circa the “Genesis” album, Outkast’s albums circa “Aquemini”, and Eminem post-2001 until Relapse. But I’ve never seen anyone able to put it all together at once like Kendrick and move from one to the next almost effortlessly.

While Kendrick has been my favorite rapper since section 80
I think most people said that he got "outshined" by a few cats on his two biggest collabos last year. On 1 Train he might've had the weakest verse.

I don't know breh,T.I wuz sayin a lot more with his verse imo:whew:.....but I will say Kendrick stole the show for me bcuz I've never seen anything resembling a swagger in the way dude raps, but on this song he showed a different side.

fukkin problem is a radio song tbh, not a battle or something liek that.
with that said, a lot of radio deleted drake's verse and kept kendrick and asap's verses, kendrick had more quotables than the others.

Kendrick has been touring the whole year, probably + 200 shows in a year and he gave a lot of throwaway verses but when he has to rap with a great mc or a legend, he always gives his best (ie : bdkmv remix ft jay-z)

Explain 1 train then? That's like all the hottest spittas on one track.
bytch don't kill my vibe, yeah his 3rd verse was dumb nice and probably added after Hov slaughtered his first verse.

And everyone who is hot is touring all the time, might take a break if they can afford it while recording an album.

I also think the word on the internets was that Royce killed the joint with Sean, Royce and Kendrick on Detroit.
But I'm not sure I agree, probably a tie.

I think there's like 10 top caliber emcees that could outshine kendrick depending on who gets to lay his verse last. Sometimes he tries to outshine people to a point to where he's completely off topic like his last verse on bytch don't kill my vibe.
