Honestly I have not listened to a lot of Kendrick, but I really don't understand the ridiculous props people give him - from numerous forums to my own friends. Sure his flow is damn near flawless, and he does have nice rhyming but lyrically he doesn't blow me away, and his voice is not the greatest sounding imo. I mean he's decent, but people saying he's GOAT? Speaking in abstracts does not make someone an amazing artist. Dude reminds me of Aesop Rock in that he doesn't rap about any solid concepts and sounds like he's just writing completely random nonsense half the time, although with Aesop I do feel like I sometimes catch the points he's getting at.
And people saying he killed this beat? Sorry but I'll take Red and Meth's verses over this any time.
