This is not a song. this should be a play. It's Art. Art imitating life.
What I like about Kendrick is that he speaks on what's really going on instwad of the usual "I'm balling, fukk the opps and these bytches, I make too much money, I love and I hate these hoes blah blah blah"
It reminds me of the back and forth between BM and BW. The viral dating and relationship podcasts that bring nothing new and make the viewer feel like the other gender is the real problem and the reason why dating sucks.
The Struggle victim olympics of who has it worse. The shea butter twitter and manosphere red pill bs. The occasional mirror comparison to white counterparts for measure.

It gets tiring. is that all we're gonna do for the next year? point the finger at the other side and say you're the reason why we're not better?

For as much as Drake’s known for acting and relationship/female-centric music, he brings nothing innovative to that lane. Compare the artistry of this to the Falling Back video where he just married 40 IG thots and sang at the reception

I dunno....he kinda missed the mark on this one. I think it would have even better if he would have ended the song with the couple getting married, showing that yes black couples fight, but that's not all that we/they do, fighting and makeup sex is just...I dunno...it feels like he was trying to make a poignant point, but we need something more to aspire to than trauma and struggle. The couple getting married would have sent a more powerful message than showcasing black relationship dysfunctionalism as if we don't already know how these relationship tend to go. Stevie Wonder would have went for a dunk on this one.

So a toxic relationship ending in marriage is the solution?

I don't know if you heard the whole album but the sequencing is a journey towards therapy. Kendrick, or whatever protagonist he is this time, goes thru his societal gripes, daddy issues, etc and kinda lands in the middle with bringing all that weight to the woman who already been knowing that everybody been stressed.

Biggest misconception about toxicity is we believe it's stand alone. Like you can exist properly without it.

You can't.
Perfect relationship never last
Toxic relationship doesn't either.
But a relationship that has both will. Arguing is considered toxic, but without that type of communication. What can be solved?

The sound you're hearing now is Napolean feverishly typing and collecting 100 tweets about why Kendrick is a guilt ridden maniac who continues to confess his sins through his music and spreading poison.
Because of this, it somehow proves Drake is better.

There’s arguing, but once you get to the point of calling each other names and saying “fukk you,” is that a relationship you’d like to continue? I wouldn’t.
