Its far from conventional. Like his flow, cadence and delivery but that what makes him unique to me and he pulls it off nicely. Havent really listened to the album yet. But I like the way his style is different than most.

I can't really mess with Ab Soul for this same reason... Kendrick sounds nasally as hell, I can only listen to his music a few songs at a time; it's more than his voice though, his voice inflections and the way he enunciates certain words just irks the shyt out of me to the point where it's no longer an enjoyable listening experience if I play more than say 4-5 songs in a row

the initial hype of this album wore off pretty fast, nikkas comin out the woodworks sh!ttin on the boy :pachaha:

I agree completely though, a lot of his songs were a struggle to get through because of his voice/delivery or whatever reason, like the young bull is spittin but i'm just not feeling it at all. I just got extremely bored by track 4

theres some highlights though, poetic justive, money trees and m.a.a.d. city are all heat

I won't even front, I catch myself FORCING his music into the rotation because he can definitely spit and is nice with the pen... but for example, when he says "Martin had a DREAM" on that Backstreet Freestyle, I literally made the :scusthov: face ... shyt sounded like nails on a chalkboard to my ears

If you listen to his projects over the year he has been constantly changing. Listen to Training Day to C4 to the EP. He doesn't seem to like his voice either. I don't really care about a rapper's voice at all tho
