Ah yes. When I think of important African American history, I think of Kendrick Lamar :mjlol:
Bro that shyt took over the zeitgeist for an entire year plus.

It went from being underground rap beef to viral to global.

And it’s just an elective. Like who gives a fukk? :mjlol:

Edit, I’m only speaking on the recent beef. His catalog is perfect for academic dissemination.

I guess. I just think it’s more important shyt to include in the curriculum in 2025 for a black studies program, especially with this administration.

And what can you do with a degree in African American studies? How much money can you make with a history degree period?

So you mad a black artist is getting a in-depth class on his lyrics :mjpls:
Did you have that same energy when Lupe was teaching a class on hip hop or when Bun was doing the same thing:mjpls:
It’s funny how this dude got y’all coming out yall panties like this
There is a whole tragic mulatto thread who imitates culture while being a suing Mafioso
Take your goofy ass in there and run around Target listening to his music beloved:mjpls:

Shut fakkit I went to a HBCU :russ:

It's for the African American history department. Does learning about Compton and the policies and history that shaped the individuals and music produced from that area not fall in with the general area of study? One elective in 120 hours of course work?
FWIW, the topic for my English paper was about examples of African Americans protesting using art as a medium. Swimming Pools fit so perfectly I couldn’t believe it.
