This performance was cringeworthy, I was never on the anti Kendrick bandwagon and I hate to say it but I see the strings on this dude's back. His diluted, suburban friendly feaux problack shtick is now very apparent. This display made me uncomfortable as a black man. The patronizing applaud from the majority white crowd echos "Good performance ****** boy, you earned a day's work". It's honestly disgusting. Coupled with the fact that he's done nothing to propel the black community forward outside of his musical efforts. I'm not one to call artists plants but it begs the question.
