I personally think Ruto is all talk too.

On this pretty big Kenyan IG i follow all the Kenyans were mocking him about this basically to say "Ruto doesn't do anything he promises" plus he has basically enacted austerity so they definitely need the money.

As for the proposed tax, last time I went to Nairobi dawg I had to unload my suitcase at customs and they made me prove my apple products weren't new or they were going to make me pay. It was so ridiculous.

Regardless the visa doesn't take long to the point it would deter anyone from the West who actually wanted to go but for Africans outside the EAC this would be nice.


you been 3x in 1 year is proof of this. i've been going since before covid and even had to book 2 single entry visas on 1 trip (Tanzania being a special snowflake) because they would not approve multi entry and still hit the
