We talk about how most black movies are about relationships, comedy or just hood flicks. People here repeatedly said that they want to see a black sci-fi flick. Well I found one. It's impressive. The cgi and all that is very believable.
"Pumzi"
Must Watch the interview, she drops a lot of jewels on being conscious of the images BLACK people put out of them selves.
Cliffs:
Basically, this movie is set in the future after World World 3...after the cacs destroyed the world.
People are stuck living in a sheltered faux environment where water is limited so much that it has to be rationed. There is no potable soil and there is no life outside this environment. Plants don't exist anymore, trees don't exist anymore and wildlife doesn't exist anymore. People even have to recycle (then purify their bodily fluids) to supplement their drinking water.
I noticed that woman have taken over as the people of authority...
and men are used as security and to convert kinetic energy into electricity. I also noticed that cacs are now the janitors and workers...

"Pumzi"
Pumzi is a Kenyan science-fiction short film written and directed by Wanuri Kahiu. It was screened at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival as part of its New African Cinema program.[1][2][3] The project was funded with grants from the Changamoto arts fund, as well as from the Goethe Institut and Focus Features' Africa First short film program which are also to distribute the work. Kahiu hopes to expand the short into a full-length feature. The film is in English, but the title is Swahili for "Breath".
