First off, I'm about to hop out there and say some shyt about duke that might sound outlandish, and I know some cats will either hate, try to clown me, or misunderstand what I'm saying, but let me just reiterate that I fukk with this nikka music, for the most part. I'm not hating on son at all. He has an ear for beats, a somewhat unique flow, and I fukk with that singing/rapping shyt he be doing on some tracks. Also think the fact that he's somewhat enlightened, and a street/prison nikka who's finally getting some shine after his troubles, is dope. And how he's shedding some light on the emotional aspect of what that whole life will/can do to your psyche, which is a side that's not often told (at least not with the same depth) in this genre, is dope too.




Real shyt tho, this nikka might be (or at one point, might have been) a fun boy. No homo, I don't wanna come off like some "faq specialist" But being in prison, there's just certain shyt you become wary/hip to that is unexplainable or hard to put into laymans terms, especially when trying to relay the information to cats who've never been locked up for a lengthy period of time.




Being around men who are gone for years, it definitely ISN'T the norm for a man to jump on some fakkit shyt, unless he already had underlying homo tendencies, and out of every 100 dudes, you might have 7 or 8 flamers, or obvious gay cats...or just straight up feminine nikkas...Then 15-20 nikkas who are down low (that you can actually tell, but they hiding from themselves and hiding the fact from everyone else). In that 15-20% though, there's almost ALWAYS telltale signs of em being no matter how hard they try to mask it, or refuse to acknowledge it.



I don't know what it is, but it even PHYSICALLY changes some dudes to the point where you can just glance at a nikka and be like "Dis nikka gay breh." And most of the time be completely accurate. Not only does Gates 100% have that look about him, but certain contradictory shyt he says, certain masculine "posturing" he does...then down-talking "the boundaries of masculinity", the eating ass shyt (not that it's gay PER SE, but...) him having a grip on psychology and seeming to have a predatory type of personality as well (one that SURELY a lot of young, lost, in-need-of-guidance nikkas would fall for every time ---- I've seen it happen)



...All of this shyt just don't seem right to me. I've seen nikkas who would smash the punks (blatant homos) on the LOW low, go to visits the next day and hug & kiss they wife & kids...Turn around hit the yard, and be just as brolic or mouthy as some of the legit tough guys who DON'T rock like that...and for what it's worth, these nikkas is some of the illest chameleons out there. It always threw me for a loop being like But wtf.....he gon go home n smash his shorty box when it was in some shytty ass the whole time he was here, and she'll be none the wiser. shyt's just fukking disgusting. Young ass 18-20 year old nikkas thinkin they hard, but needing protection/guidance, falling for predatory type of tricks...



Smh Gates literally embodies this type of nikka. Like I said, all that gay shyt definitely ain't the norm, it's definitely only a small percentage of dudes, and out of that percentage, some hide it well or you never know about. But just from being naturally observant in an environment like that, (I wouldn't put my life on it, so if I'm wrong, pardon me, but) it really seem like this nikka had some sweet tendencies either somewhere in his past, or currently. A lot of nikkas get exposed by their own "unguarded" moments. The thing about most rappers is, they talk SO much (it's their profession), whether it's in interview, song, or random video, that you'll always have a standard of their personality to gague against. And some get so heated, emotional, or "different" while they're talking, that the subtle cues in the look in their eyes, their body language, or what they say...will always be a dead giveaway for a fraud/faq ass nikka, if you hip to the signs. Sucks cuz I fukk wit most of what I've heard from him, but ain't nobody force that nikka to be a dikk boy
