Songs like “Countin on ya”, “In my Feelings” and “Pourin the syrup” are at the very core of what makes Gates such an incredible artist when he chooses to be. I still check out every new project in hopes that he’ll go back to making shyt like that again, consistently.

I was secretly hoping he’d go back do making gritty shyt when they wasn’t together, but it just seemed like he was picking the songs that she would have picked smh.
Went from 70% hard shyt, 20% introspective shyt and 10% girl shyt, to 90% girl shyt. And he kept fooling us by dropping the gritty shyt as the album teaser
