I'm saying that the word is not equal to the n word.
it has not even been used in the same context as the n-word so don't compare it to the n word.

ok now that we settled that argument, now what ? :sas1: what is your argument against the name change now ? :sas2:

DO OR DIE
I agree with most posters here...if native americans want it changed then change it. White people did enough to them where I think they can have 1 freakin name change considering their right is to much more (lands, minerals, etc.)

But I do think the main offense is how they're betrayed by fans. A bunch of white people painting their face red or with war paint symbols, doing the war cry, wearing traditional head dresses and running around with foam tomahawks like its one big joke. And the "red" term comes from a lot more. Red ******, dirty reds, etc. and I recall reading "redskins" was also in reference to the actual skin of natives that was presented to collect bounties for every dead native back when they were battling.

Why does everybody feel the need to piggyback off the black struggle to make a point? I don't think anyone is trying to have a debate over what term has been more offensive over the course of american history, but the term redskin is clearly racial and insensitive to American Indians....why can't everybody at least agree on that?

this is like Jews getting offended when black people used terms like African Holocaust. Unnecessary chest thumping.
