When Eddie got caught with the tranny, Black comics as a whole refrained from doing jokes on him.
I believe it was Rock who told somebody something to the effect of "Ed is our guy. We're not gonna do that".
Most of the top Black comics refrained from Cosby jokes. Eddie himself refused to do a SNL sketch clowning Cosby.
