KFC's Colonel Sanders has undergone multiple makeovers this past year, and now he will be played by comedian David Alan Grier.
The actor shared the news on his Twitter account, writing, "Breaking News: David Alan Grier has been cast as the first African American Colonel Sanders in the new KFC ad campaign."
KFC has been attempting to revitalize its brand with new ad campaigns recently. In May 2015, Saturday Night Live's Darrell Hammond played the company's founder in a slate of ads.
