The Santa Clara 49ers will not win 6 games next year, y'all going to be crying for Jimmy

:russell:no one save a few jimmy sect members will be crying for an erratic dude who can't read defenses can't move and can throw downfield at 27m. when your QB drops back and every given pass including a rb checkdown is an adventure... you need to move the fukk on.

If Trey gives us 15 tds 12 picks and 6-7tds with his legs while making some big throes and using his legs to save broken plays. He'll already be better than Jimmy the vet. While being cheaper on a rookie contract :myman:

Whose man is this?:gucci:

Kyle is going to run the same run heavy offense. Try is going to eat off the play action. Trey is going to keep drives alive by not getting sacked like Jimmy does.

I like Jimmy but his bonehead interceptions and stiff pocket presence hold back the offense from being spectacular.

Trey will have his ups and downs but it's definitely capable of taking the Niners to the playoffs

My biggest problem fam is the ITWAN of this whole shyt. The team won despite him many times. He was there as a game manager to not fukk it up and couldn't do that. The fact he got a bag being a mediocre cac infuriates me.

"He's a winner!" - that logic rarely gets applied when it's a brotha behind center and putting up flabby stats and fukkin up.

There's no guarantee our run game and defense will be as good next year either.

I'm not even opposed to having ARod come home :hubie:

I feel you and the narrative would be more damning if Hoyer, Beathard, Mullens would’ve found success with the same coaches, same weapons and for the most part the same team give or take a few components.

A devils advocate question that is fair to ask is why couldn’t the team win despite of all of them?

Why did this team look absolutely TERRIBLE when anyone else was back there, like we was the Jags?

That shyt is baffling.

Rhetorical questions and maybe we’ll never know the answers but still. We had a nice run

Upwards and onwards

All I'm saying too fam. We've seen Jimmy's ceiling. Time to get a return on our investment in Tre. If he's ass after year 4 he can get :camby:, Lynch can get :camby:, Shanny can get :camby:

Giving him a contract and making him the highest paid QB are 2 different things. That's insane to me. We went 5-0 with him throwing 7 tds to 5 picks. Where does that merit highest paid QB in the league?
:yeshrug:
QB contracts are different. They always have been. You gotta remember what the perception of Jimmy G was back then. Yeah, he had basically a 1:1 TD to INT ratio, but nobody cares about that when you're winning.
The Niners finally had a QB that looked like could execute Shannahan's offense and they had to preserve that no matter what. Throw in the fact that before he got traded, the talk was about NE franchising him so they could keep him. If the Niners would've let him walk he would've had no trouble getting at least the same contract somewhere else.
Essentially, that was the market for Garapollo back then.

Jimmy was better than those SUPER Bums, but his ceiling was just above average at times and was far from consistent.

Darnell Brown is not gonna get a highest paid QB in the league contract in the same situation and would be raked over the coals for his performances on the regular. You know this.

They still giving Baker a fukkin pass for crying out loud.

Man…. They made the roster and even after getting off our team made other rosters (Mullens even started a game this season)

to win a job in the NFL…. At minimum they average

Nah, they're not giving Baker a pass at all. And you're correct that black QB's in the same position with the same stats wow be treated more harshly. I'm not arguing that. I'm just saying the facts of what happened for the white QB...
