Post Malone is right behind him. He sang « country classics » with country artists/singers « Hardy » and «Morgan Wallen » recently at the Country Music awards(CMAs) and he announced that he will release a pure country album in the coming months. His hip-hop phase is over. He ain’t a rapper no more. In my opinion, he never was one but you get the point, this vulture ate well off the culture now, he’s vulturing another musical genre. He’s not a genuine artist but a pure commercial culture vulture.

That’s what I thought. I’ve never listened to a Post Malone song on purpose except for White Iverson so I didn’t know if he had any verses in his albums that could barely be called rapping. I have the same problem with all those guys like Kid Laroi and all that, they’re not rappers. It’s worse than when the industry tried to turn Hip Hop into “Urban” and just group all a hip Hop, RnB, Neo Soul, etc as all the same thing.

Yeah, I get calling hip-hop urban since it started in New York and at one point most rappers were from urban areas,but rnb came from blues which came from the rural South. Most people I meet who listen to neo soul fukking hate rap music.Lowkey grouping all black music into the Urban category is racist and basically assumes that all black people like hip-hop and the same kinda music. But at the same time most black would say Flo Rida makes white people music, but he's rapping over house beats. Black people started house music in Chicago and Detroit so he's actually making urban music technically.
