So your telling me when people filled his timeline and @'s calling him awful shyt he responded back fukkin with them :ohhh:
He should have apologized and admitted what a piece of shyt he is for saying something they disagree with
I mean who wants intelligent discussion in this country it's better to exile anyone who dare says something we don't like

See, I can tell from this post that you're either a stupid person, or somebody who is willing to be ignorant on an obvious point, in order to feel like he's winning an argument.

He gets a pass generally as a culture-appropriator, because he is historically one of the few white people in hollywood/acting that is a consistent voice for hiphop, specifically. He was on Masta Ace's album. He's certified in that regard.

Unfortunately, when the lights are brightest right now, he's telling people of color when it is, and is NOT okay stand up for civil rights. And on top of that, when people disagree with him, he's basically recycling age-old epithets about jungle bunnies and shyt back in their faces.

Personally, I don't turn to Michael Rappaport for insight into race relations, i generally don't turn to white people for their opinion on when it is okay for people of color to stand up for themselves -- that is not my thing.

But tsk-tsk'ing athletes for speaking out against oppression, and then asking them for their "protest card" is ignorant and counter productive... The idea that you can't take a stand now, because you've never taken a stand before, essentially argues that the civil rights movement itself was some kinda social faux pas. It's a silly, tired argument, that has been used time and time again to KEEP people from speaking out. It is NOT "intelligent discussion." Not even close.

And while I do not think that is his intention, and I think michael rappaport is ALSO against the police killing innocent black and brown people (just as he is against protesting on 9/11) -- I think his "i support police, too!" is some All Live Matter bullshyt. And I think defending him because "he just disagrees" and "people were mean in his mentions" is some middle school, sheltered-child, privileged-ass logic, put forth by somebody who doesn't either fukking recognize the struggle of fellow human beings, or doesn't care.

Kick rocks,
