Killer Mike has been a strong proponent for Bernie Sanders during the Vermont senator's run for president this year, and the Atlanta rapper spoke candidly about why he supports Sanders.

Mike started out by clarifying his statements comparing Bernie Sanders' policies with those of Martin Luther King Jr., as he believes that Sanders and King both had an understanding that the caste system in the U.S. is based on class not discriminated by color. The rapper then added that both Senator Sanders and Dr. King both classified themselves as "social Democrats," which has been misconstrued in the media when it comes to Sanders.

Moving along, Killer Mike addressed Hillary Clinton labeling Black youth as "super predators" during a 1996 speech, which has given her trouble during her current presidential campaign. The Atlanta rapper told us that he was happy to hear that Hilary apologized for her "grotesquely evil" comments, and you can hear more of what Killer Mike had to say on that situation and more in the above clip

:camby:

:yeshrug:

Yeah that irks me too.

But to be clear, out of all the candidates Sanders is prolly the one that's the least damaging to blacks.

A) He was arrested protesting for civil rights back in the 60s.

B) He doesn't condescend blacks by dabbing for our votes.

C) He didn't push the narative of welfare babies back in the 90s

D) He didn't call us predators.

Spoke truth. Thread title doesn't do justice cause that Simmons question/answer was short

Simmons has already proven to willingly pimp his blackness when it benefits him, while making sure to respect other folks' ethnicity and culture
