I don't understand the foul Joyner Lucas ran with his verse. His whole argument is that the disparities between the races and the dysfunction in the black community is ultimately the result of historical and present day interference from the white majority. I was puzzled when people praised Mysonne verse over Joyner when it was essentially the same hypothesis. Basically, anything whites find wrong with blacks can be traced back to how whites treated blacks; I.E, legacy of slavery, Jim Crown, and discrimination.

Put it like this. My 12 year old son watched that Joyner Lucas video. He came to me immediately making fun of Joyner Lucas for the fried chicken and kool aid and 2 step bars. I didnt even have to say anything to him. Like he genuinely felt that was some stupid shyt to say and didn’t understand why Joyner Lucas framed the black argument that way. And he’s only 12. He immediately caught the ridiculousness of that verse. That should tell u somethin about that bullshyt song.
