The King of Fighters series by SNK was the most played fighting game in my area growing up. Lunch times at Malvern mall, a mall in Scarborough, would be flooded with kids from my high-school, Lester B. Pearson, and kids from the Catholic high-school, Mother Teresa, duking it out every day. It was just a mainstay that seemed to always be there

Nah, must be some Canadian thing, in my hood it was Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 on the Dreamcast

Folks played KOF a bit but we were playing bootlegs of Last Blade 2 on Dreamcast also. After that Capcom Vs. SNK was the ONLY fighting game to play
