I'm gonna check myself before I wreck myself

apparently the altercation that y'all were talking about DID in fact occur at a later date

    C. aka the Westside Connection slam the East Coast on their new album, "Bow Down" (Priority Records). And King Sun fired back with, "We're Coming Over," a song off his upcoming album that takes shots at Ice Cube. In 1993, King Sun accused Ice Cube of stealing one of his songs. Their bad blood came to a boil at an Ice Cube concert at the Palladium later that year, when King Sun stopped the show after Ice Cube had shouted, "So what if I stole your song. The [expletive] went platinum.

I read/heard on radio about the first incident, but not the second one

Yo. I could believe that Brooklyn was a jungle in the 90's. I everytime I visited there, I had to keep my guard because stick up kids were everywhere. Still my favorite borough of NY before the hipsters ruined it. But yea it was well known Busta was something of a sheltered dude a little surprised about LL but hey in the words of Sean Price, 'anybody can get it'.

Shout to King Sun, though, I had a mixtape from the 90's with a few of joints from him on it and can't find it.

"Be Black" is perfect example of what diggin' in the crates means. That little 1.2 second sample made a song. King Shameek (producer), of Twin Hype fame, had a great ear.

hip house was the THING for a good 9 month -year stretch.......most artists releasing material in that era had a song or remix using those elements

JungleBrothers "I'll house you" is still a banger in 2019
