early retirement is expensive…I imagine especially so for dudes who were rich throughout their careers and were used to a certain lifestyle that they try to maintain when the money is no longer coming in…then perhaps add in a bad investment/business deal if applicable and dudes can get wiped out pretty quickly…and on top of that not to be mean but some of these dudes are pure jocks and just may not be too bright to begin with…dudes are out the league between 30-40 or in some cases earlier and have to potentially make any money that they saved last until their 70s/80s assuming they don’t have the right mindset and/or ppl around them to help them generate new income thru investments, business deals, etc. or by just flat out choosing a new career path…so some of them are essentially just only spending money for the next 20-30 years out the league depending on when pensions kick in
