Nick Young patiently waited his turn Wednesday night to get the Black Mamba's autograph on Young's adidas shoes only to see them end up in the garbage.
During his exit interview Thursday, Swaggy P. was all smiles as he recalled moments that happened during Kobe Bryant's retirement game. One moment in particular was after the game as a line of Lakers players formed to get the Mamba to sign gear.
Young, who has a sponsor deal with adidas, brought his brand shoes. Bryant, who famously wore weird adidas shoes for the first half of his career, wasn't about to put his signature on those.
"He threw my shoes in the trash, but that's Kobe for you," Young said. "I was a little disappointed in that, but, you know, he could not end without something like that."
Don't feel too sorry for Young. The veteran Bryant did autograph some items and took a picture with Young's son.
