Timing of this seem weird, doesn't even seem like dude is really trying to capitalize off the story
Some of this stuff I can personally vouch for but really it's just another perspective of the narrative we already know
The one constant in all these stories is Vanessa. I didn't know Kobe had a whole relationship when he started dating Vanessa, maybe that's what really sent his mom

if you google dude he really does come up as a Kobe day 1 in old articles

Kev is my man's close homey. Kev is from Wynnefield in West Philly. Kobe always had ties to West Philly & SWP even when he lived in the burbs.

They were part of a rap group together. This is how Kob linked with Steve Stoute

For the record, Kob was his homey and not best friend

This is a tough story but Kev's story to tell.

Please summarize this 40 minute video.

  • 00:00:00 In this section of the Blood on the Razer Wire tv episode, Kev Sanchez, also known as Tanner the Beast, shares his experiences with Kobe Bryant. Sanchez, who grew up in West Philadelphia but moved to Narberth due to his mother's legal troubles, met Kobe at a local playground while playing basketball. They became friends, and Sanchez admired Kobe's basketball skills, recognizing his potential to make it to the NBA. Sanchez describes Kobe as a cool, down-to-earth person during their early years of friendship. However, as Kobe gained fame and success, he became more arrogant, according to Sanchez. Despite this change, Sanchez considers Kobe the best basketball player he's ever seen, besides Michael Jordan. Kobe's mother, Lisa Sanchez, is a well-known figure in Philadelphia, having been involved in hustling and other criminal activities. Sanchez's mother's legal troubles led him to meet Kobe and attend Marion High School together.
  • 00:05:00 In this section of the YouTube video titled "Kobe's Best Friend Says He Was A P.O.S.", the speaker recounts how Kobe Bryant cut off all his relationships, including those with his family members, when he moved to the NBA. The speaker, who is friends with Kobe's family members, shares his experience of being falsely accused of a crime that occurred while they were all together. The crime involved a robbery at a 7-Eleven, which was far from their location where they were playing basketball. The speaker was arrested and charged with the robbery, but was innocent. Kobe tried to bail him out, but his mom didn't allow it. The speaker stayed in jail until his release on September 13, 1996, the day Tupac Shakur died. Kobe hired lawyers for the speaker but didn't testify in court, which the speaker believes was due to concerns over his image. The speaker also mentions that Kobe's dad testified in court, but his mom didn't. The identity of the robber was described as a dark-skinned man, 5'8 and 120 pounds, with a mask on.
  • 00:10:00 In this section, the speaker recounts his experience with the criminal trial where he was falsely accused of a crime, despite evidence pointing towards the real perpetrator. He mentions that the identification was faulty, and the prosecutor made a big deal out of Kobe Bryant not being present during the trial, which swayed the jury's decision. The speaker expresses his belief that Kobe's testimony would have led to his acquittal, but Kobe never reached out to him during his imprisonment. The speaker also shares that they had plans to form a rap group together, but his legal troubles prevented him from joining Kobe in Los Angeles for the group's activities. The speaker was sentenced to five to ten years in prison at the age of 17.
  • 00:15:00 In this section of the YouTube video titled "Kobe's Best Friend Says He Was A P.O.S.", the speaker recounts his experience of being wrongfully imprisoned for five years despite being innocent. He was a young boy during this time, and his incarceration occurred amidst violent conflicts in Philadelphia between different neighborhoods. The speaker, who is Muslim, was in jail during Ramadan, which made the experience even more challenging. He had to learn to "man up" and adapt to the harsh realities of prison life. After serving his time, he was released but was placed on house arrest for several years. However, when the appeal came back, he was ordered to return to jail. Desperate to avoid going back, he ran away and ended up getting caught in Baltimore, where he was featured on America's Most Wanted. To prepare for his parole board interviews, he had to study every detail of his case and remember every move made by the prosecution. Despite his innocence, he was railroaded and given two additional cases to fight in trial. Eventually, he managed to beat those cases as well. After his release, he expected Kobe Bryant, a famous basketball player, to help him, but instead, he was met with hostility from the city and its residents. They didn't start warming up to Kobe until after his passing.
  • 00:20:00 In this section of the YouTube video titled "Kobe's Best Friend Says He Was A P.O.S.", Kevin Sanchez recounts his experience of trying to reconnect with Kobe Bryant after his release from prison. Sanchez explains that he waited outside a gym where Kobe was appearing, but when they finally met, Kobe's behavior was strange and unfriendly. Sanchez asked Kobe to help him get back on his feet by finding him a job or connecting him with someone who could help him, but Kobe never followed through. Sanchez was disappointed and held on to the hope that Kobe would eventually come through for him, but he eventually learned from Kobe's cousin that Kobe had no intention of helping him. Sanchez also criticizes Kobe for not taking care of his family and instead focusing on his own wealth and career.
  • 00:25:00 In this section, a friend of Kobe Bryant's named Home speaks about his disappointment with Kobe's treatment of his family and friends after his rise to fame and wealth. Home recalls how Kobe cut off his relationship with his mom and other close friends, including Home himself, to be with his new wife Vanessa. Kobe reportedly refused to sign a prenup, which led to a rift between him and his mother. Home expresses his frustration that Kobe, who was once close to him and other friends, did not look out for them or include them in his new life. Despite this, Home acknowledges that Kobe does not necessarily owe him anything but expresses the expectation of reciprocity for the support he had given Kobe in the past.
  • 00:30:00 In this section, a friend of Kobe Bryant's reflects on their past friendship and expresses disappointment over how Kobe treated him and their group after he returned from playing basketball overseas. The friend explains that Kobe could have helped him in various ways but instead cut them off completely. Despite their history and shared dreams, the friend feels that Kobe's actions were not thorough and authentic. He acknowledges that Kobe was an exceptional basketball player but believes that his reputation as a great person is not entirely accurate. The friend challenges anyone who disagrees to come forward and provides evidence from other friends who know Kobe to support his perspective. He concludes by stating that Kobe was coldhearted and had a fake persona, which he developed by studying Michael Jordan. The friend has been out of prison since 2007.
  • 00:35:00 In this section of the YouTube video titled "Kobe's Best Friend Says He Was A P.O.S.", the speaker discusses his past experiences with incarceration and how he has been able to turn his life around since then. He mentions that he served time in jail and upon his release, he focused on getting his Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and started driving a truck for a living. He also plans to start a podcast and other ventures. The speaker reflects on the time he lost in jail and the impact it had on his life, including the loss of family and friends. He encourages anyone watching who has been in the federal system and wants to make money to get their CDL. The speaker appreciates being on the show to share his story and experiences.
