Faced and guarded aren't really the same thing. Melo is probably one of the hardest players to guard but he's probably not the most dangerous to go against. I could see someone arguing that Cousins could be "harder to guard" than Duncan but Duncan is a 100x more dangerous to face.
Lebron, for all the shyt the Coli has given him, has pretty regularly dominated the Lakers when he plays them so it's not a surprise that Kobe sees him dangerously.
