Kobe averaged 28/5/5 in the regular season last year and 30/5/5 in the playoffs. He was at worst the 3rd best player in the league last season (behind LeBron and Durant). Jordan at 40 was barely an all-star level player. Kobe is still a bonafide superstar.
Oh and Kobe has already played more minutes than Jordan did his entire career so this comparison is only valid in the sense that Kobe's got more miles on him than Jordan did at age 40 and is still a SUPERSTAR and top 3 player in the league.
