Why do liberals have such an unhealthy obsession with the Koch brothers??? It is actually bordering on derangement.

As if Democrats aren't funded by similar groups..........

We have BEEN through this false assumption before you moron.

Are you just a troll though? I think that's what mephistopheles said

I really hope so. Walker's record as governor of Wisconsin is nothing short of exceptional. And to do it in one of the bluest of blue states is even more incredible.

I really hope that after eight years of Obama the American people are ready to return to substance over style.

What is the false assumption, dumbass?
That democrats = liberals, stupid. That liberals aren't also very critical of the centrist democratic party and campaign contributions for ALL parties. TYT, guardian, slate, motherjones, rawstory etc etc I've seen all of them criticise the democrats and be very fervent in speaking against the disaster of money in politics. The koch's ARE the worst of the worst in regards to shady influence on politics, so naturally they will be called out the most. So where do you get this bullshyt that "liberals" don't speak against the democrats corporatism? That's what you implied.

The United States has two major political parties and the Democrats are the liberal party. They are to the left of Republicans on the political spectrum. What is so difficult about that to understand? Yes liberals criticize the Democrat party for not being liberal enough. That doesn't mean they aren't voting for Democrats when elections come around.

As for the Koch Brothers, the only reason you think they are the worst when it comes to influence on politics is because they are promoting ideas that you disagree with. That is the reason why Slate, Guardian, Mother Jones, etc. call them out the most. Liberals in the media have a bizarre obsession and derangement when it comes to the Koch brothers. Those same left wing outlets don't do story after story on George Soros or Tom Steyer which are left wing equivalents to the Kochs. That is because they support the same causes that Soros and Steyer do.

What you are dumb too dumb to realize is that Democrats demonize the Koch Brothers and portray them as evil boogeymen in order to get their base of low information voters angry and worked up so that they turn out on election day.

Wealthy donors sided with Democrats in midterms

By PHILIP ELLIOTT December 24, 2014 3:10 AM

WASHINGTON (AP) — For as often as Democrats attack the conservative billionaires Charles and David Koch for their heavy spending on politics, it's actually the liberal-minded who shelled out the most cash in the just completed midterm elections.

At least, that is, among those groups that must disclose what they raise and spend.

Among the top 100 individual donors to political groups, more than half gave primarily to Democrats or their allies. Among groups that funneled more than $100,000 to allies, the top of the list tilted overwhelmingly toward Democrats — a group favoring the GOP doesn't appear on the list until No. 14.

The two biggest super PACs of 2014? Senate Majority PAC and House Majority PAC — both backing Democrats.

In all, the top 10 individual donors to outside groups injected almost $128 million into this year's elections. Democratic-leaning groups collected $91 million of it.

Among the 183 groups that wrote checks of $100,000 or more to another group, Democrats had a 3-to-1 cash advantage. The biggest player was the National Education Association, at $22 million. Not a single Republican-leaning group cracked the top 10 list of those transferring money to others.

Overall, for the campaign season that just ended, donors who gave more than $1 million sent roughly 60 cents of every dollar to liberal groups. Among the 10 biggest donors, Democrats outspent Republicans by an almost 3-to-1 margin.

"They're total hypocrites when it comes to this subject," said Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus. "They've made a living off campaign talking points when, in reality, they've been raking in more money from millionaire donors than Republicans for quite a while."
