Hope they cook up a brand new series for 2027

G Rap
KRS One
EPMD
Rakim
Foxy Brown
Busty Rhymes
Nas & Q-Tip

Make it happen Mass Appeal!

All good ideas especially G Rap and Rakim. Both deserve a legit album, none of that Almighty M80 bullshyt.

Seeing a list of potential artists for next time made me wonder....could this be extended to R&B? Imagine a slate of albums from artists like Brandy, Monica, etc each with a Nas feature on some smooth shyt like the r&b features rappers used to do.

If they could make this a yearly thing that would be an incredible feat. Every year they could do 5-8 legends. It could have an epic run for a Hip Hop label rivaling any catalogue out there.

What’s wrong with the Almighty M80?

I think Nas and Mass Appeal are probably focused more on the Hip Hop angle, and also alot of the artists involved in the Legend Has It series have been vocal that they joined because of the immense respect they have for Nas. I’m not sure if Brandy, Monica, etc have that sort of relationship with Nas to drop full projects under his label. Obviously i’m sure they respect him as an artist but has either of them ever mentioned even meeting Nas? I could see someone like Mary J Blige or Erykah Badu or even Maxwell trusting Nas and the Mass Appeal vision with their projects as they have more extensive relationships with Nas. Mary always talks about her love for Nas as an artist and person. Erykah praises Nas all the time and they’ve toured together. Nas and Maxwell are actual friends and have done songs together.

What’s up with Foxy Brown?

You don’t even see her anymore; is she a recluse?

Basically.

Fox ain't the same anymore. She's just raising her daughter and chillin'. She has health things, both mental and physical that are keeping her away from the booth and the business.
