Other dope options for the next campaign, besides what's been listed.

Method Man. After having Rae and Ghost, plus it's been like 20 years since a Meth album, and he murdered that Big L feature.
Pete Rock and CL Smooth with a Nas feature. This would be great for everybody.
DMX. If they could work with Dame Grease to release the joints he has with X.
Gang Starr. Premo said he was working on another album of material he had.
Scarface. Nas and Face have always had a great relationship and Face has been trying to monetize a return to rap. Maybe vinyl and other merch would entice him.
Nas and AZ album, probably the most requested and hoped for album after Preemo.

Yessir and she had great production on there

I remember hearing about that sequel

Word? Who had production that?

Puff was overseeing the album.

I think that's why it didn't come out, lol. She had a nice amount of Neptunes beats on that. Her brother did a lot of sh*t on it too. I remember dudes like Lofey, Shim and other early 2000's low-key producers having beats on that too.

Last time I saw her, was at a AZ show here in the city.

She was kinda hiding in the back and didn't really want to speak to people or even be seen, it seemed. Fox was really dope back in the day. She just had a crazy stretch of misfortune after the peak years.

It makes me wonder how "Full Circle" came about since it was Hit-Boy's idea. Was it just all members of The Firm (and Dre) getting called up and they agreed because of their friendship with Nas?

Oh ok

Damn lol

It’s a shame it didn’t come out because she was still in her element then

No idea.

But she's still mad close with AZ. They're like family. Kinda seems like if you want to speak to Fox, you gotta go through Sosa.

East Side!
She was in the zone on that one.

And she recorded a sequel to her debut right after that, but it got shelved. I remember seeing it on the bootleg tables outside around '02-'03. LOL!! Def Jam didn't want to put it out, but that was a dope project too.

Ill Na Na 2: The Fever was the album, that is her best album and one of the dopest female rapper projects period IMO, even though it was unreleased

I think Nas and Mass Appeal are probably focused more on the Hip Hop angle, and also alot of the artists involved in the Legend Has It series have been vocal that they joined because of the immense respect they have for Nas. I’m not sure if Brandy, Monica, etc have that sort of relationship with Nas to drop full projects under his label. Obviously i’m sure they respect him as an artist but has either of them ever mentioned even meeting Nas? I could see someone like Mary J Blige or Erykah Badu or even Maxwell trusting Nas and the Mass Appeal vision with their projects as they have more extensive relationships with Nas. Mary always talks about her love for Nas as an artist and person. Erykah praises Nas all the time and they’ve toured together. Nas and Maxwell are actual friends and have done songs together.

All good ideas especially G Rap and Rakim. Both deserve a legit album, none of that Almighty M80 bullshyt.

Seeing a list of potential artists for next time made me wonder....could this be extended to R&B? Imagine a slate of albums from artists like Brandy, Monica, etc each with a Nas feature on some smooth shyt like the r&b features rappers used to do.

Dope. Mass Appeal may make this a yearly run of 5-7 Rap /Rnb Legends albums, but i see potential label politics muddying the waters.

Nas should do an album with Pete Rock first lol.

And with Large Pro, Alchemist, Q-tip, and like very other elite producer before doing an entire album with 2025 Kool G Rap :heh:

Again?

I remember that when that was first said like back when Monique had a late night show on BET

Like 2009 or somewhere around that time period

I thought some of her hearing had recovered

Unless something changed?
Ears aren't like Eyes. When the hearing starts to go, there is no turning back. No surgeries to repair hearing loss. Only hearing aids.
