The video isn’t addressing Alademiks. That video looks old also.
Ak was saying the OGs are dusty because they aren’t making money. While it’s a shame some of them aren’t, it’s disrespectful to talk about them as if they didn’t make it possible for him and others to make money.
Before Pimp C died, he was advocating for a union for Hip Hop so they got paid fairly and had a system in place to eat off their contributions despite the bad contracts. Even though the business has changed since the early 2000s, it’s still something that needs to be addressed because a lot of these current rappers are gonna blow their money trying to stunt and will be broke in their 40s.

The founders and early hip hop contributors got robbed. They got taken advantage up.
And eventually the very thing black people invented is controlled and owned by white people.
I get that. But you can’t blame people that were on the cusp of something new for not understanding its value when they were all told it was a fad. It took a decade for Hip Hop to prove it was a global phenomenon.
