It can be good when its well done, Andre and Kendrick themselves love doing that but their shyt is indeed very calculated. Most rappers fail to understand there's a sciences behind that flow though.

Rapping off beat and rapping to the downbeat are not the same. E40 can rap to the snare when he wants to and often does. Silk couldn't even line up his over dubs. Cardi b is another that be way off beat
