@1984 im with you two on this because I stay pointing out how bad a DJ is fukking up when I'm out with my crew.
But when you look in the crowd no one cares as long is the next song keeps the party up p
That's true. It depends on the type of audience you have. With DJing as long as you can keep the party jumping and people interested in what you're doing it doesn't matter. But I know what you're saying. In most club situations where it's just a random weekend night with a random Dj playing what's hot, it doesn't neccessarily matter cause the crowd isn't really there for the DJ. They are there to hang out, they are there to party and dance, listen to music, socialize, congregate, make business plans, stuff like that.
In the case for this event, Kylie Jenner is booked as the HEADLINER.
So, really, in that case, from a DJ background, to even be a headliner you have to be a:
A)Legendary DJ/producer/musical figure that's had 15-30 years experience in the game (Sasha, Digweed, Premier, Jermaine Dupri, Diplo, Tiesto, Timbaland, Kaskade, the list goes on)
B)The hottest thing at the moment musically (DJ Mustard, Hardwell, Zed's Dead, Dillon Francis, Disclosure)
C)Famous like Paris Hilton or Kylie Jenner
The difference between them is two groups have talent and a resume of music to go by for audiences to figure out their sounds, their styles, if they like what they do, if they are worth seeing, etc.
Paris Hilton and Kylie don't have any musical resume or body of work that can really be assesed on if they can rock a crowd or if they are even worth seeing. What would they play?
Atleast with all of the other names I mentioned, you know what to expect, their work is just a youtube click away, what does Kylie have musically that can even be judged like that?
