I told someone he had more skill than Kobe. I asked him what skill does Kobe have Kyrie does not. I can name several things Kyrie does better than Kobe. Shoot and handle being chief among them. Did not say he was a better player, just more skillful. Rik Smits is more skillful than Shaq but not in the same galaxy as a player.
